A couple of months ago, I started my first CPA journey and decided to target a very low competition keyword. Forums and even social media accounts dominate the top 10, so ranking highly seemed attainable. I crafted a long piece of content that respects the Yoast SEO guidelines and launched the site with some additional subpages.

Here are the positions for the main keyword in the past 2 months: 34-24-17-68-75-N/A ( wtf)-38-91. Again, twitter and facebook accounts are dominating the top 10!!!

What exactly is going on here? I know rankings take some time to stabilize, but isn't two months a bit much? is it the google sandbox? over optimization? I haven't done any off-site SEO, will that be the solution or is this site doomed because of some violation I'm not aware of?

I"d really appreciate the opinions some of the seasoned SEOs here.

Recheck your on page optimization and interlinking. Plus get some high authority links

when did this occur? look into duplicate or overlapping content issues your site might be having

That's exactly the issue man, Just did a site audit and found some " zombie " pages that I forgot to delete. :)

don't forget crome telling ppl if a url is not https the website not trust worvy .

so know a lot of ppl are using https and maxbounty recomend it .

so the up and downs with indexing will be unsterdy only happening know as we talk can take time to settle .

If you launched additional page with same/duplicate keyword then ranking can be down. you have to recheck your optimization.

There is likely to be keyword sanitation. Re-optimise your pages.
