I am facing a crawl not index situation with an RV camping rental website where in their menu they have a "Rent A Camper" option, when you click on it it loads a page from the /rent-a-camper/ subfolder but when you click on any listing it loads from a /rental/ subfolder.

Can this explains or have any influence on why Google decides (after crawling it) to NOT index it?

This does not have anything to do with indexing.
It's extremely common to have sites that are not built ''silo'' by the book. You can organize your site structures however you like. Physical silos are not a problem these days.

It's due to something else.

I understand this part but, I think that´s a completely different thing than having a listing page loading in one folder and all the listings on another.

I will look into other technical and on-page stuff but this is the first time I encounter something like this so, it can´t be that common.
