Craigslist section should be paid OR visible to people who have been on the forum for 60 days and have 100 post count.

Trueblood, I read a lot of your posts and agree and like most of what you have to say, but this has been brought up before.

I kind of agree with this and kind of don't. In my opinion they should just delete the entire craigslist section. That way methods will not be brought to the public and we can pm things to each other.

I just don't see either happening. We have had polls on this and everything else. The Mods will do what they want. I don't know any of the mods and have never chatted with any of them, but I trust Pofecker and believe if he thought this was best he would try to get it done.

I am not sure the reasoning behind not doing something like this, other they think it is pointless. I truly believe Pofecker would do something about this though if he needed to.
 
If CS is hidden & unlockable I don't get why CL wouldn't be, at this point. I can understand both sides of the story though.
 
Didn't we do a poll for this a while ago, I thought the hiding it votes won.

But ya, I definitely second truebloods idea.
 
I also second the idea. Can pofecker or someone else shed some light on why this is not happening? What is the reason that this section is allowed when most of the members would agree it needs to be hidden?
 
I would love for it to be hidden. Either make it a paid section, 50 posts, or a member for 60 days. I would bump to Jr. VIP just to view the craigslist section.
 
I would also bump to JR. VIP just for craigslist. I am very interested in a mods point of view on this. Going to kick some ass at racket ball. Maybe when I get back, we will see.

I think you have a great point here! It would keep things more private and more seclusive to BHW members. Also more incentive to be a contributing member to BHW!

We all know if something is coming it is easier to defend ourselves. This is the same theory that pertains to craigslist. With the craigslist section being public it is easier for craigslist to stop us. If we make it private it will be much harder.
 
Not really. CL has the budget to pay for access. And if you don't think they have accounts you are sadly mistaken :).

Especially if they're always trying to keep it safe and they know BHW is a threat to that, haha
 
I think you're wasting your breathe asking to hide it. It will always be something that gets us to this point of discussion. Today it's CL, yesterday it was Assoc. Content, before that it was CS and egay, and tomorrow it will be...

I disagree :) Craigslist and ewhoring is todays "trend" here . At jan / feb / march you would have said " this forum is 80 handling over cookies at ebay

before that was autoblogs :) we should put up a bet for next trend lol

also as people said its not hard put some guy watch and post here to get jr.vip acces :)

i agree, delete the section completely. jared is right, i dont doubt craigslist has jrvip member. and if they dont, all they have to do is pay for it.....

Take the craigslist section and make it private. Force the users of the CL section of the forum to have to type in a captcha phrase and then have the users verify themselves using a phone verification code. This, along with the $97 donation, should be enough to deter anyone from craigslist to be able to gain access to this section of the forum. Because as we all know, craigs is a non-profit corp and just cannot afford the entry fee, LOL.

Oh, by the way, also record all the IP address of those that attempt to log into that section of the forum and ban all the IP's that are coming out of san francisco.

Well, hope this made a few of you smile :)
