Craigslist - I've freakin' had it

See? I get different thoughts from different people.
Okay, thanks for the suggestion gts. I'm just starting with craigs and want to test it out so there's no way i'll be posting more than a few ads/day.

I just tried craigslist using TOR, and I have no problems. Use firefox and dowload and install the vidalia bundle (includes a handy-dandy torbutton firefox plugin). This will connect you to the TOR network at the click of a button.

which sections are you posting to with TOR? can you post to a known spamming area like personals or something and check if it actually shows up?

also are you running with the default tor settings? many, many people have no luck with tor and CL, and a small trickle of people do get it to work, id love to find out why. that would be very useful

I wonder if it has something to do with some of Tor's proxies being based outside the US?

thats what i thought at first, until i read on many forums that CL keeps good tabs on TORs exit nodes and blocks tor traffic. not sure if it is true or not

Is there any option available for people outside the US to use Craiglist?

sure. if you look at CL, there are sections to post in different countries.
but a problem arises when your posting to a different countries section, and your ip says you are from somewhere else. these posts are ghosted.

TOR seems to work for many things for me bud does give me weird errors sometimes if using out of country IP address ranges.

Does anyone have a good USA proxy list for this? I need to post alot for an item Ive got.

Where can you get these exclusive proxies Drover?

Try ExclusiveProxy[dot]com or try a search for "exclusive proxies" or "private proxies".

With regards to Tor, sometimes it may work for awhile when it hits an IP they haven't blocked yet but it won't last long. If you're doing any real volume, it won't cut it. The easiest solutions are just to use an aircard or dial-up and use an autodialer or macro to change your IP every few posts.

Buzzkill the ad from craiglist you posted here is not showing on the general page. It's just the page craigslist is showing you. It's a direct link to a page they are directing you to. Nobody else can find that page through their ads directory.

I couldn't get Tor to work for me either, so I'm still jumping through all of the manual hoops. I don't want to take the time to write my own autoposter and don't want to buy one that won't work right. I also discovered today that my ads with links to .info domains get ghost posted as well. I've been fairly successful with Craigslist over the last couple of months, but it's getting difficult to scale with the CL Police continue to crack down.

On another note, has anyone has success with farming out CL posting to some data entry firm in the far east (India, Pakistan, etc)? I think that I could farm out some posting without handing out my business model. Any advice?

I farm out and have had success with it. They have run into problems recently and I'm looking into other alternatives.

I have an awesome idea for bulk posting. I have tested it and it works, but I need someone to write me a program. I'm going to post in the freelance section and see what it will cost me.

EzAdSuite worked OK when I was using it, but I learned real quick that if you tried to hit the big metro areas, you were gonna get flagged quick. Surprisingly I had more success with the GhostPoster process than anything else (though it was really long to do). I thought that adBomber was a interesting idea that might have some merit, but by then, I just got tired of CL's junk.

ErikaM - I'll take a look at the freelance section. I've been thinking 'bout writing a special purpose CL poster myself. Maybe we can kill two birds with one stone. -e-

I have given up on craigslist. Spent 400 bucks on this software and have tried everything in the book. I think I made 100 bucks. f--k craigslist.

I use a dial-up account to have different IPs as my cable modem uses a static IP. I signed up with Copper.net using their 3 month high speed special for $1.00!
