So, I upgraded my memory (RAM) to 8 gb, but my CPU usage when I am running all my "bots" at the same time is at 99%. Do I need a better comp so that this much usage isn't happening? The upgraded Ram helped a lot, but things are still slow when running 10 imacros/FireFox user profiles at the same time. What exactly do I need to upgrade? Below is a pic of the usage... thanks in advance guys.

Why not get a new comp and run the scripts on them both? I have the same issue with firefox but after i restart firefox then fire it up it works normal for same tasks. Maybe try run it in 64bit if your CPU is 64bit. The RAM should be fine as you can see. Also you should send your CPU specifications.

Well you're ram= memory which is at 34%. The CPU is the processor. So you need a better processor to relief the stress.

Here is my comp specs. If it is the processor, what should I get? I have 2 additional comps that I run on also, but I would prefer to get the right specs on 1 comp and run with it, instead of multiple.

Yea bro, your processor SUCKS! You have 1.50GHz.... you need something over 3Ghz minimum now a days.

Yeah, it is a $325 Dell (new), so, no surprise. Can I put in a new processor, or do I just need to get a new laptop with better specs?

Yeah that's a pretty bad CPU these days. I'd suggest getting an i5 or i7 quad core depending upon your budget.

1. Make sure Firefox is updated to the latest version.

2. Disable any Extensions/Plugins that are not vital

3. Make sure any remaining Add-ons are updated.

Which laptop is it specifically?? Usually, you're better off buying a better pc instead of upgrading certain components. Especially the higher end CPU's.

If you have more than 4GB RAM, you can run the 64-bit version. It's good as the best software, comes in 64-bit version only. 64-bit is other way of saying you have a Good RAM.

If you are gonna upgrade processor, you need to upgrade your 'SMPS', then your 'Motherboard', and then the 'Fans'!
No use of buying new desktop or laptops. Best PC in this world is the one which is 'Assembled'. But if you really want to buy a whole laptop/computer, try 'Alienware'! :)

Thanks all for the input and advice. Did a little more research on Google. I guess I will just lay down the $$$ for a better all-around model.

With the greatest respect, if following these 3 steps helps your cpu, you have a terrible pc. Get an i5/i7 and you'll have very little issues

2. Disable any Extensions/Plugins that are not vital

3. Make sure any remaining Add-ons are updated.

I have 3 pc's, the one im on now has these specs

This is the poorest of my 3 pc's. Yet it does everything and more than i need it to do.

Should I replace my Processor with an i5 or just buy a new laptop with one already installed? I was reading online that laptops are kind of difficult to change out the processor.

Offload those imacro bots to VPS or two. Not much reason to invest in a heavy hardware to run imacro routines. Even if you get a computer that can run these bots you don't do much else with it while they're running. Move them to a couple VPS boxes and use your local machine for developing and creating.

I would suggest to go with Xeon cpu server or workstation, some old dell machines are pretty cheap with xeon dual processors and ecc ram. Laptops are for ease only. if you really need performance must opt for high end work station or a server to run seo softwares or bot scripts.

Its answer for all your questions.
Your CPU have similar power to 4-5 years old CPUs, for example similar to celeron E3400 - i can buy such processor (new) for 25 bucks.

Dont buy laptop for seo tools. You can better processor for same price when you buy standard PC. Target new i5/i7 on lga 1150

You can get it changed. Have you tried over-cloaking your PC?

well run those ff instances on a vps would be better other than raping ur lappy/pc with those 24/7. Btw ur cpu sucks. Try to get a core i7 3770 or 3930 or Amd FX-8350 if u look for highest clock speed and performance.

I can't really get into the specifics of why I run them on my comp at home and not a VPS, but I have to in order to do what I do. So, unfortunately, VPS is not an option for me. But thanks for the suggestion.

I love my i5 I always lean towards gaming rigs because running games takes a ton of resources.
