CPU Friendly Movie maker / Video editor software for Windows?

I was using Window Movie Maker but it lack features like add a PNG image over video, text pop up types etc etc ..

I have used Kinemaster in my Android and looking for something similar for desktop as well which is not as heavy as Adobe softwares are.

Any recommendations?

Vegas Pro.

"HO its cpu intensive"
I was able to record 4d cinematics and gamepley in 2012 all with a laptop pentium 4 cpu using this software so yes its safe and friendly to use.

Camtasia is a good video editor and easy to understand. Works well with i5 Processor and 8GB RAM. Not liked Adobe Premium but it's good to start.
