CPM Networks and Bought Traffic/CPM Arbitrage?

Hey everyone,

Long time lurker but new member here! I just wanted to get a few things cleared up for me regarding being a publisher for a CPM network (I.e. Burst Media) and purchasing traffic via Maxvisits, pop unders, or expired domain traffic. After reading the TOS on various Cpm networks, it seems like this is kinda of a grey area, and while it may not be ethical it seems it might work and it seems that this is not a new model by any means. So basically, can this work? ethical dilemmas aside.

Also whats your experience with Maxvisits? I am aware their traffic doesnt convert well but it seems like it may work for CPM or even for getting some traffic to a site before flipping it. Thoughts?

i am not specific about these companies but basically you are trying to do arbitrage which works...so find best combination of sites and you are good to go, thousands of people are doing this.

in my opinion , apart from cpm things look for cpm traffic and click, this way you will get more money then cpm

If you are going to do arbitrage make sure the terms on each end align. If they don't you can set your self up for a serious problem. Refunds etc are things to keep in mind. Its not easy. Especially as more and more people are doing it in present times, it forces advertisers to be much more skeptical of who they by from, and require more due diligence such as site lists, references etc.

Indeed it works! Max visits is horrible with conversions, but I use it to buy cheap US impressions for CPM.

I get about $3 eCPM with my current network.

So.. 3 ads per page x 10000 impressions @ $10 per traffic boost puts about $80 in my pocket everyday just for one site. Personally, it's the easiest way to make money online IMO, albeit unethical. I also am using a redirect and referral hiding script so that all of my traffic bounces all over my site.

The max visits G analytics stats don't look good though. Today's stats:
95.57% bounce rate
11 second visit duration
1.10 pages/visit

I've also noticed a drop in SERPs since using maxvisits. But, who cares if the money is good.

Keywords here is redirect and referral hiding.

It's a great way to blackhat yourself a few hundred a day, but you gotta have some decent scripts in place and do a lot of testing so that you don't give away your tactic to your networks or they'll ban your ass.

Good thinking though, OP! Maybe you should close this thread and forget you ever mentioned it publicly, though....

That means,you need to hide traffic source,so no one knows where you get traffic???
So you can use traffic exchange for cpm publisher and no one will know if you hide traffic source???
Which network do i need to use for cpm publisher if I use Maxvisits for buying traffic?


This is a good strategy,if cpm publisher pay you 3 ecpm.

iv tried this already once but didn't work at all maybe the traffic i bought was fake i don't know but im trying to give it a try once more...if someone can help here would be good
