Cpanel Licence Question

With regards to your plans, I would recommend buying the license if you have your own server. As other have already stated, you will be able to get direct (and fast) support from cPanel should any issues arise. It's a really easy process to upgrade a license should you need more accounts down the road.
the problem is the cost pal cpanel cost if i started this way this is a falling project even before start because competitors will win the pricing battle

Another thing to add to the thread is the fact that the hosting companies might also have segmented license of some kind. For example, they could have 10 customers on each physical server and have proper license for that. This is just a guess, and I could be wrong.
i doubted on this too but it happens that they use 2 servers 1 cloud and another metal i have digged before posting and asking

If you're referring to competitors of cPanel, the closet is DirectAdmin but even their pricing can get steep (yes, I know Plesk exists for those reading but I'm referring to alternatives that aren't owned by the same private equity company -- Oakley Capital).

For everything you get with cPanel, it's worth it if you're going to go with a LAMP stack.

no i am talking about my local competitors who offer cheap hosting when i say cheap i really mean it starting from $1 and biggest package with unlimited is 7$ i can't offer a competitive pricing if i go with cpanel "legally"

Well there are a couple of ways to get CPanel cheaper. One is using a nulled license which could become a big problem. More info here https://www.lowendtalk.com/discussi...limited-cpanel-license-providers-legit-or-not . Another option is going with a big host like HostGator and purchasing from another country version of their site. More info here https://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1814594 .
i know this cpanel unlimited is a tricky way ( illegal) i am just trying to find out how some local big companies are using it and still surviving since 2010,2014
for the combined server+cpanel there comes another problem is that the servers are not too strong like Hostgator cheapest is 160gb only and here i go back to that competivity issue my competitors offer 100gb at 1.5$ so it's not profitable to me

there is no survival on the cpanel.. i am using 50 accounts on cpanel.. when cpanel last summer announced this they made me a big issue seriously.. i even contacted them and they replied me like i am rubbish.. i gone for direct admin which was terrible.. then 1 year i got from my provider a license unlimited and put all my accounts back.. all works for me 1 year fine there is no survival on this prices they made.. updates being made find and i pay only 15$ for cheap unlimited cpanel.. if you have as much as more licenses they do you some discount this is how they survive.. i will never forget the answer of the cpanel which did not care..

@takito would you mind sharing that provider who charge you 15$ for unlimited cPanel ?

Hello BHWers, i am planing to start a WebHosting Biz and have a lot of questions on my head
i asked before about cpanel licences https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/whmcs-cpanel-shared-licenses-is-it-safe.1251741/
after a long searches i have found that many known companies who have a lot of clients have baught only the but they manage over 1000 accounts is there a way to trick it or what ?
because i really have no idea how they do that
They have a volume licensing policy...

It will be very expensive if you directly buy from them as they are retail and hosting company gives them huge business so they offers even $ 0.035 cents per account because of volume of business we offers them.

I think you question is clear about Cpanel licensing cost.

they have great offers but only problem is that theire servers are really expensive

i just saw this reply on my email.. i not think for true offshore server is expensive.. if you compare much offshore providers you will see they are the cheapest i think the code is -15% lifetime for all services B6E7JBEIY8 on corona crisis lockdowns they did sent a message they give discount due hard times.. you can check it.. or try contacting other providers and check if they have any discount on licenses.. cpanel is very bad for doing this pricing they are thieves..

Just start out with the Premier account https://cpanel.net/pricing/. its 49 bucks for 100 cpanel accounts and then .20 cents for each one after that.
Just plan your pricing around this.

Then once you get to a 300 a month account spend sign up to be a cpanel partner. Then the more you spend the bigger the discounts you will get.

this is too much and unfair pricing..

Oh boy, believe me... the cPanel license is not your main issue.

There is no such thing like unlimited accounts under 5 accounts licenses.

And I know that because the company I'm working in is cPanel Official NOC.

Seriously.. if the 0.30c per cPanel account is an issue for you.. use DirectAdmin or hire good developer and build your in-house solution.

i have seen and can proof that some hosting providers use the 5acc cpanel and have +1K accounts , i used c panel licence verify to check and i know those companies volume since all are local , for the 0.30c acc it's not a big deal but not for a just starting who doesn't have any clients

Well, you are saying that you have see it with your eyes yet you are not specific with your wording.. On the other side, as cPanel NOC (you know what NOC is?) I can tell you that your info is wrong.

Anyway cPanel have good deals when reaching 500 acc under one license.
