if you look around can find resale deals with free cpannel added .

look around there some amazing deals for resale hosting deals.

no i have checked the licence from cpanel verification and they are using a 5accounts ( 20$) licence but have many accounts over 1K

reselling is not an option for me i have calculated and find that reselling is not profitable compared to having my own hosting
 
Why do you think they only have the 5 cloud license?

https://verify.cpanel.net/ verify it yourself type in their main cPanel IP and see what it says.

i don't think i have verifued on this link even before posting the thread and that was 5 accounts licence me my self i had 10 plans with them and many of my friends still use theire service the mais question is how they are doing it buy a 5accounts licence and deliver unlimited licences

How do you know they only bought the license for 5 users?

Hmm then may be they did. The thing is, CPanel does solve a lot of things, and you should really be buying their service if you do not know what servers are lol.

May be. The idea would be to disable any callbacks they have on their licensing servers. You could try adding a blacklist entry on the OS level, but then you will have to watch their licensing servers first. I dunno if they are on the DNS list (sorry, I am drunk and I did not bother to check), but this is how to disable any licensing server for that matter.

update: i also find some hosting providers who claim they have cpanel but in fact when i verify i find that the licence is expired can anyone please expalin this ?
 
It might be a pirated license, or it has just expired as your websites will still work with an expired license you just can't access the panel + I think updates are disabled. cPanel are making some changes soon that is probably to combat piracy.

cPanel is making changes to the way trial licenses are issued. A store account will be required to obtain a trial license, and trial licenses will no longer be issued automatically. The trial period is not changing: trial licenses will continue to remain valid for 15 days; and any trial licenses already provisioned will continue to work until they expire.


This change may require action on your part. You will need to assign a new license before activating a server.

These changes will take effect on Tuesday, September 22nd, 2020 and impacts all newly created servers after that point, even if you choose not to use the most recently released version of cPanel & WHM®.

and how about those ones who got a 5accounts licence and has hundreds of users because if there was a way to do so it will be helpfull to me as a person who will just start on this

I am in hosting industry since 2012, and started my own business 2 years ago, from my experience i would not recommend to pirate the cPanel and other core licenses, like cloudlinux because if you do there will be no technical support from cPanel if issue arise..
We are scaling our cPanel license with customers, although it became costly for beginners but every business needs investment.
There are many license sellers claiming to provide shared cPanel license actually they are not, most of such services are scam.
And even if you managed to by pass the license of cPanel you will miss the updates, and this is where a system admin like me with poor knowledge will not compromise.
 
There are drawbacks of cpanel license .

1. You cant ask cpanel support .
2. You cant buy license from cpanel again.
3. One DMCA Complaint from cpanel will get your server/vps suspended or een terminated.

I recommend you to go with official license and now with the shared cpanel licenses.

this big companies i know they have expired licence and they have aged websites since 2014 ,
other have a licence for 5accounts and they manage over 1000 account i just wanna know is Cpanel too lazy to keep an eye on his products or is it that company that is playing with his tail
 
Another thing to add to the thread is the fact that the hosting companies might also have segmented license of some kind. For example, they could have 10 customers on each physical server and have proper license for that. This is just a guess, and I could be wrong.

With regards to your plans, I would recommend buying the license if you have your own server. As other have already stated, you will be able to get direct (and fast) support from cPanel should any issues arise. It's a really easy process to upgrade a license should you need more accounts down the road.
