CPA Referrals??

I noticed that some CPA companies allow referrals on the application. What exactly would these referrals do when applying to these CPA companies? How would the referer benefit from this?( Adscend Media for example)

Just for an example :

If you just hit me a PM and say, you wanted to try my service. I would first ask you who recommended my name to you.

Similar thing applies there.

The referer gets a commission. Normally 5% because he recommended the network to you.

I think if you refer ppl to the network, somehow you will get commissions or any type of rewards from the network.
