CPA questions from Newbie.....Help!

HI all

I'm a newbie doing research on the CPA business and had a couple of questions.

1. Is the CPA business effectively "the lead business?" From what i understand....networks pay you for someone taking action by filling out a form...and then paying you a 1 time fee, for getting them fill out a form.

2. Why not just do the lead business...and sell to users like "insurance brokers, mortgage brokers, attorney's etc? This way...you can build a list and sell them over and over again.

3. How is the CPA business different from the Lead business?

Hmmm...i thought this was a good question.

Lead business is different in that you can sell the leads to more than one company...while the CPA network (from what i can tell) will only allow you to sell that lead to the company that you are promoting (that's if they pay you).

The problem with CPA is that many pull their offer's (after you've done the work). At least that's what i'm reading.

Still looking for input from a Pro (if possible)?

Bro, take it easy----We were talking about selling leads as a broker....vs. selling the leads directly to your CPA network.

You completely highjacked my thread and turned it into a selling leads TWICE thread (which we all know...isn't allowed if you have sold them to your CPA affilitate).

My "OP" was selling leads as a broker....vs. selling as a Affiliate Contractor.

Apparently someone above seems to think that you can do both. I don't know.

Again, my original post was "which is better....selling leads as a broker...or working as a Affiliate Contractor?"

NOW...maybe someone else can answer the question.
 
i think better as affiliate..because u dont need a lot of money to start and doing it..just my 2 cent..maybe i'm wrong.

Basically, it's an arbitrary term differentiation.

CPA implies low payout, high conversion rate, quicker forms, and you're promoting not (what you'd call) the bread-and-butter products.

Lead Generation implies higher payout, lower conversion rate, longer forms, necessity to convert the user via phone perhaps (not on your end, but for the advertiser) and promotion of products that don't usually convert online, i.e. insurance, mortgage, etc.

Lead generation requires a deeper niche focus, in my opinion, some lead-gen even do phone-verification that the lead is legit, basically mixing online and offline, a more advanced tactic.
