CPA questions from a noob

Hi guys, I recently began reading up on cpa marketing and believe its something I want to do. I am currently going through an ebook, as well as watching a few vids and checking some forum posts to gain knowledge.

I have a few questions with regards to CPA.

1. Do I need to know and understand PPC before I can delve into the world of CPA?

2. How much do I need to "know" about CPA before I try and join affiliate networks?

3. Is there any disadvantage in CPA if you are not in from the USA? Can you use proxies in this field?


Also, I would GREATLY appreciate it if you could give me a resource on CPA that you believe is excellent in explaining it all.

1. Depending on your marketing strategy. Some networks are completely against PPC advertising, and networks like CJ will have vendors vary as to whether they accept PPC or not.

2. Many networks won't accept you if you don't present yourself as you know what you're doing. Read as much as you can about CPA and general marketing.

3. Only disadvantages would be in receiving payouts and not having offers convert due to being directed to wrong country traffic. Target the right offers for the right regions, find a way to accept checks/paypal, and you're set. 1) Not really

2) Nothing LOL, just sign up to AWM. You don't even have to have a site to get accepted by them, you can put down a YT channel and still get approved. Just BS your way approval, try many different networks.

3) None, what does it matter? I am from UK and this was an advantage with AWM as I didn't have to complete a W8 Form for approval.

Just search round this site, there is plenty of information on how to get approved on CPA networks and how to make money with them.

No, PPC can be a good thing to drive traffic but you might as well use any other traffic sources.

Not much really although it's always good to know and most networks look for some medium experience people I think. Read up on CPA (and PPD since it's similar) a bit and you will know pretty much everything needed to start.

No, you won't make the offers yourself so there is not disadvantages. What matters is where the traffic is coming from which you redirect to the offers. For example US/UK/CA/FR pays often the most and it's better to have traffic from those countries than from example India.

1: PPC is an awesome way to drive targeted traffic to you offers.

2: Not much. It really does come back to being able to BS a little. Let them know you have been in the CPA biz for about 3 to 5 years. You will plan to drive traffic from various sources. They tend to love PPC, imo, there are various PPC networks around, research them and use them in your application dont just mention adwords.

3: I am from Australia never had a problem.

There is so much information in regards to CPA marketing, it can be difficult to get going in the right direction.

Choose a vertical, choose a traffic source and stick with it. Dont quit until you make it work.

No, I just had a Micro Niche site to start with

I didnt need to know much. Just have a website that you can show them and show them how you are going to make them money through your website + their CPA Offers. Of course you need to know something, that you even know what you are talking about. So do you research into the CPA world first, but a lot of it will come from experience.

3. Is there any disadvantage in CPA if you are not in from the USA? Can you use proxies in this field?

No. Most networks will let you apply from anywhere except India or China really (lots of frauds from those countries). And when you are running offers it doesnt matter what country YOU are in.

You could not fill the offer by your self..and you can apply from anywhere and no need to be an expert of ppc
