CPA, PPD and Content locker networks Profitable?

Hello everyone, just wanted to ask if there is any chance at earning from CPA, PPD and Content locker networks? So, I registered at PPD, uploaded a file and started promoting. I used forums, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Google plus. I had 150 clicks and 0 downloads (0$). I was a little bit shocked by this and went to test things on my own. I went to a US proxy and followed my own link, I was presented offers like "Get a free cosmetics sample" , filled the info and I was then presented another offer, surveys and many other page to fill in so I never actually got to download the file after 15 minutes of filling out offers (multiple up sells) !?! That way I will never get a download EVER! Who in the world would fill offers for like an hour in order to download a file even if it is badly wanted? Are all the CPA, PPD and Content locker networks like that? Aren't there offer for just sumbiting email and getting straight to the download? It would be easier for people and I would get conversions actually. Please help regarding this!

They are profitable and its easy money in my opinion.
Offer will only covert if valid data was entered or if the data entered was not used before on the same offer. Also if they check for already used IP's and proxies it wont convert either.
You could maybe try using another PPD network and try promoting it through a landing page to increase conversions.

The sad truth is: CPA companies are shaving , advertisers are shaving, the publisher is on the very end of the revenue chain

Anything will convert, especially if you go for example straight to the Xbox fan page wit several K followers and comment with a link something like: "Hey guys, I just found new version of the 360 emulator - the best in my opinion!" and link directly to the download. This is pretty targeted. But when a guy tries to download he or she can't get to the download, because he or she will have to fill offers like for 1 hour in order to det to the download page. Example: A guy wants to download this new emulator very much and follows the link. Then he is presented to choose a survey. He chooses "Get free samples" (all other are like this). Then he is required to fill personal info by the advertiser. After that he is told that he has a free gift - 500$ Avon gift card and prompted to get his gift. After he does he is then told that in order to have a chance to win the gift card he would have to fill 4 surveys. After clicking on them he is again asked to fill in his personal data by probably another advertiser. (do that about 4 times). After that he has to confirm his email and stuff. And finally after all that he probably already forgot what he wanted to download .... and how he god on this pages .... So -0 conversions. How offers like these could convert? - and are all of them like that? My question is - Is there a way to manually choose offers that will be displayed? For example an offer for content locking that requires only email submission and then direct straight to the download or other easier offers?

I think the idea that you are getting hung up upon is that you have to fill in offers for hours. Usually this isn't the case, a lot of submits can only take a minute to a few minutes, it really depends on what is in rotation at that moment. Furthermore, you can optimize offers for your traffic so you can see what works and what doesn't (for example if 100 people click "GET FREE APPLES AND ORANGES" and none actually complete it, they will remove this [I didn't see what company you are with but AdworkMedia has this for sure]). As well as this, the most profitable are usually also the quickest (mobile pin submits). A single submit can ring up to $20 for you.

So just remember, you got unlucky with your traffic but don't give up. 150 clicks is not nearly enough to call it quits! Make sure you have a nice landing page, a good website/blog and give people enough incentive to actually follow through and complete the survey! If you just spam some random people in a chat room saying "GET FREE XBOXES HERE ____" this won't be a high quality way of getting traffic.

Do you know any network which allow to have content locker on our site only...after completing the survey, they will be able to download. Condition. They won't have to go to the link to download.

I mean in cleanfiles we share links, User comes to the Cleanfile. Completes the offer and download file.

But What I'm saying is: Content Locker must open on our landing page only.

Thank you very much! I got your point. I used Sharecash but it turned out to be pretty crappy according to many members here. I just applied for AdworkMedia. Hope I'll be accepted.

If you are saying what I think you are saying, the user completes a survey from the on-site content locker widget and then it automatically downloads? You can do this via directing the user to a direct download link after completing (e.g. dropbox).

No problem, Sharecash isn't that bad but the support at sites like AWM is much better (and they have much more features). I'm sure you will be accepted.

Actually I got accepted. Thank you! I saw on their TOS that they would ban me for viral fan pages traffic, also they would ban me for locking fake $h)t. Can I use Black hat methods with them like top You Tube commenting or artificially rating a video? (by the way is does this work anymore?). So black hat practices that are OK with AWM?

Okay. That's a Great Solution so far. I think I have to do A/B testing now
