Hi guys, I have a site where I get about 700-900 unique visitors a day. The problem I have is this site is a privately hosted site and I can no longer afford to keep updating my server size to maintain the databases and I can no longer afford to pay for the pipeline much less increase the pipeline and I need to...

My site requires a log in and I have people's name zip age and all, but my idea is to allow to the service to be free and in exchange put a CPA in place where the user my perform the CPA in order to fully log in.

So that being said. What can I expect for CPAs.

I would like my under to just fill out a form. If they have to purchase something it will kill my site considering I help the unemployed or under employeed.

How much does those forms pay?

If your wondering why post this on blackhatseo it's because I found tweetattacks here and used it to grow.

I need to put something in or I'm going to have to take the site down.

What would you guys suggest to recoup costs?

    Thanks

Depending on your network, probably about $.50 a piece.

Hey thanks for the quick response.

My thought is if I have on average 800 users a day and putting up a CPA will cost me 30% of much users which will drop my to about 550ish. At .50 a day per users that's still a nice check but let me ask you this.

Is there a CPA network that could provide me with 3500 CPAs a week? Or do I need to find multiple CPA networks? Is there any CPA networks you recommend. I read the stickies but I've never dealt with this guys before.

    Thanks.

You can have unlimited offers filled out. Adscend media is great for content locking.

Let me ask a dumb question what is content locking. And how does that benefit me?

I'm confused as to what you are asking and where you are getting 50 cents a day.

Content locking is where they have to fill out an offer to see your site.

What country does most of your traffic come from? Do you have an opt-in list from your website so you can mail them? I would think if you have an unemployed demographic, then free job offers would do best for you.

The 50 cent a day was a mis reply to the .50 cent a peice.

    I understand content locking now.

Honestly I don't care if it's job ads or the next offer from kellogs. The user wants the software and resources I have created then the will need to fill out a form every 24 hours or,they will lose access.

All my traffic is USA traffic. I even l know their zipcodes. I also require age to sign up. But I do not know race or gender.

I was under the impression that your site was traffic looking for a job. Sounds like content locking would be your best bet then.

Well it is. It also helps people locate food shelters and such.

Then I wouldn't content lock it. I'd use free job offer banners and charity offers, etc in order to monetize.

I'm gonna respectfully disagree with you. Content locking is guaranteed revenue. OP is on target in my opinion with making them fill out a survey every 24 hours.

    Thanks

Content locking kills conversions in my opinion. I think if you've got a targeted audience for jobs traffic, banner ads are the way to go.

Go ahead and split test. Content lock it for a week and watch your bounce rate.

Great point. But I still think if the user is really desperate they'll go to the end of the earth to get whatever the hell he's doing.

It's not that my users will go to the ends of the earth, in fact i expect about a 30% drop in traffic.

it's that I can no longer afford to put this out without recouping some of the costs. In fact, I've noticed a considerable jump in traffic without additional advertising in the last 2 months (over 100+ more users).

I've created 3 custom aspx applications that run inside the website that interfaces with databases. I privately host it all and it's just becoming expensive.

I think content locking is the way to go, perhaps every 24 hours is a bit much, maybe every 72 hours. I'll just figure out a way to switch a bit on and off in my MySQL db and use page redirects or something.

why do you think it'll drop?

now when they won't have to sign in, you might have an increase.

also, you can try to advertise your site for more volume.

that way you'll be able to make more money form Adnetworks/affiliates
