I've been trying my luck with PPD sites. But I read people saying that CPA content locking gives me more profit. Don't CPA owners take a percentage like PPD owners do?
Owners of CPA offers take a cut (not always though - sometimes they lose money). CPA Networks take a cut from CPA offer owners. PPD sites take a cut from CPA Networks.
Getting an offer direct from the company that owns it -
PROs: Highest payout. More flexibility
CONs: Usually longer delay for payment. Often requires contracts to be signed and invoices. If the offer is losing money and it is not a trusted company, you may not get paid.
Promoting through a CPA network -
PROs: Faster payment. Likely to get paid (if form a well known network). Offer variety.
CONs: Network takes a percentage.
Promoting through PPD website -
PROs: Easy to setup. Fast payment. Likely to get paid (if from a well known website). Offer variety.
CONs: Lowest payout of the three options.
^^ What he said. Though before getting started on CPA directly first focus and get things going with PPDs. If you can get that to work for you then CPA won't be as much of a problem.
