CPA and Domain Forwarding

Maybe a dumb question but I'm fairly new to using CPA. I plan on using a method involving YouTube to promote CPA offers. Most everything I have read says to build a landing page that you link to in your video. The landing page would then link to the CPA offer itself. Is there a specific reason for this? Wouldn't it make more sense to use 'domain forwarding' to simply send people straight to the CPA offer or do CPA networks frown upon using this kind of method (I contacted my affiliate manager for Neverblue and they didn't seem to like the idea of YouTube for promoting offers - but maybe they simply didn't understand). Are there any CPA networks that are fine with YouTube for promotion? Any help would be appreciated...

Any network that accepts social traffic will be fine with it. If a network doesn't want your traffic, don't send it. No sense in wasting your traffic if they possibly won't pay you for breaking their rules.

As far as your other question, I just used my tracking links, turned them into a bit.ly link and put them in the description (say something to entice them if it's incentive). I never had a problem with it. I was using advert marketing with that campaign if that helps.

if you directly forward your domain then you cant track things most of experience people send traffic to landing page to capture leads and track stats so they can now which traffic source is converting well, in your case you are using only youtube as single traffic source but other marketers use multiple source of traffic thats why tracking is necessory to know which traffic is converting and where they should focus more...so landing page helps in two ways..
1. to track all things,
2. you can capture leads so you can monetize them later too.

so both ways its helpful and best to send traffic on landing page instead of direct linking or domain forwarding..

Landing pages are used to capture leads for future monetization and to prepare your visitor for your cpa offer .

Like , you are promoting a free ipad offer and you have a few picture of Ipad on your landing page and a little about your offer and a CALL TO ACTION button that links to your offer . Through your landing page user knows what is he going for and that helps in increasing conversion ratio .

Many affiliates are using youtube and CPA successfully. Any suggession from experts?
