    Hi BHW !

I'm thinking of working on a shared office that have opened on my town. I would like to know if some of you have already tried this? Was it good for your motivation and work flow? Have you find joint venture on this kind of place?

I have great hope and would like to know your opinion and advice on this,

    Thank you !

I started out in co-working here in Tampa. It was great fun, good for networking and building up a clientele base. When I had problems with something or better yet, I was lacking in something. I was able to find a solution within that office. Great for referrals, etc. Don't pick the first place you come across. I would research around, pick the group that you are going to vibe with best.

There are lots of ebb and flow because remember you are working with other people who you have not ever dealt with and sometimes personalities clash and it's not intentional. Like some people come into the group who like having people around but don't want the Starbucks feel to it but they are there to work, no extra social interaction. There are going to be some who are just as involved as can be.

There are even some, it's a work space, they have the beer flowing, parties, etc. You should try to do a tour, meet the group before committing. Often times the good co working spaces will give you a trial run. Look for those as well. Be aware of how they have access. Is it key coded, alarm or is it a super secure building, etc. As well as how is the mail doled out. Is it placed in one lump or is it spaced out to the individuals.

    Good luck in your venture.

I never had a personal experience with it, but a few of my friends tried coworking, and the feedback is mixed. Some say it's nice, others would never again try it.

I love it and go daily.

Having a dedicated office place puts you into "work mode" when you walk in, thus making you more productive/efficient. It's nice to be able to separate the two.

Massive bonus is meeting a lot of like-minded people and getting new connections, discussing, ranting and just chatting about business.

It's good if you are someone that gets distracted easily. Having people around you that are focused puts you in the mood to go farther than if you are at home in your pijamas.
