Coupon Code Affiliate Suggestions

I would start my affiliate adventure with a coupon code site of my own. As many of you tried with different affiliate market, you guys suggest me to keep on going with a coupon site? Is it hard to bring traffic to a coupon site (as you know there's more coupon sites like retailmenot/coupons.com etc.)
Is there any disadvantage to run coupon site with an affiliate programs? What do you think if I promote my coupon site on adwords with low budget? Any suggestion?

I manually collect from other websites as well.

Only issue in my opinion is that these coupon websites will take a lot of time to rank. It will be helpful if you already have a Facebook group in same niche (IM related).
