Couple questions regarding Amazon, SEO, and content in a website

Hey guys, I just found a keyword with 130k exact searches a month (god knows how many long tails), but I found the exact match .net domain for 1k (dot net), I was wondering if I should create the website using a ecommerce site linked to amazon products since the competition fro it (number one guy has 1500 links, top 10 float around 100 links and none exact match domain). is pretty weak and i have had really good luck positioning .net domains.


Second if I do this, (since i have never done a ecommerce website), should I try to make it as least affiliate looking from amazon? or maybe use a service of having some one build me a amazon associate store? I feel its very easy for me to be able to position this site to get around 5k a day (based on googles adplanner for the number one spot he floats from 5k to 10k uv a day)

If I build a ecommerce should i put a blog in it? Or something to help position it faster? the domain is over 11 years old as well, and based on the fact that has a alexa ranking I assume it has some significant amount of type in traffic.

How hard is it to position these types of sites? or should I just totaly scrap the idea and make a ecommerce site and insert my amazon affiliate into every link when i talk about each of the products so my content is all unique about each one? (I don't mind doing daily updates adding a new product etc, i already do this with my game websites)

cheaper to buy "Fresh Store Builder'" which makes an amazon site which allows you 3 different sites/installs for less than $100..

A blog on it..doesnt mean you will beat an aged domain with a boatload of backlinks..just keep updating content and building links..

How long is a piece of string to your first question..
But..and I have not used this product..yet..you can rewrite the product descriptions yourself and ..I gather..set it to auto post each day..
And the sites look pretty shithot and the customer stays "inside" your site until they go to pay..

Maybe look at the amaniche plug in ?

Well, reason I asked this is cause most of my sites I noticed that if i use duplicate content it never really moves up no matter how much i am back linking, vs me using original content it starts to move up at a decent rate given same amount of backlinks etc...

So in ecommmerce I didn't know if it was slightly diffrent were I had to write some of my own fluff about the prouduct or if it would of been better to just post their article descriptions. Thanks for the help though!! Really appreciate it

From an ecommerce angle, no you dont have to rewrite the fluff..from an SEO angle..yes you have rewrite the fluff..no problems my friend..best of luck..
