I have been searching for information on a couple of different subjects, first some background.
I am attempting to start a lead generation business. The goal is to outrank the lead competitor in the local area and than get all the phone calls. Forward and sell the calls for $$. The top guy in the local niche i am attempting only gets around 80 clicks a month so i thought this would be a good first try to see if I could do this. He has 21 backlinks and 3/4 of them have no TF. He is outranking yelp/homeadvisor for the key words i am going after so i thought i could do the same with a PBN.
Right now I have 13 backlinks all but one have an average TF of 15. I have built the site, I have more content than him and i ran the content through a seo tool to make sure the content and heading tags were well done.
I plan to build the PBN to around 30 so i can do this with other local business and generate multiple money sites. Here are my questions:
Is this a waste of time? I feel somewhat hamstrung since i am not a real business. I dont have a real address and I dont understand if i can get onto google maps without it. If i am wrong on this can someone please give me a resource of information so i can educate myself.
Even if i can't get onto google maps, is it important for my site to have citations just for the page rank on google?
Can i do this with PBN and good SEO alone? Do i need social signals and google reviews to beat him or can i just get better quality links. He doesnt have a blog, and i was thinking about adding 1000+ word articles every week to try and beat him on the content side.
Right now i am sitting on page 3 on google. I have been doing this for about 3 weeks and i know i need to give it more time. I would just really appreciate someone more experienced to tell me i am not making some big concept mistakes.
