Country with the most strict customs

I've seen on ebay a lot of sellers from different countries (especially Hong Kong and China) never ship to Italy because of problems with shipping. So my guess would be Italy?

Costa Rica. You can't import a perfume or any beauty product without special permit. Can't import a vitamin, even if it isn't available in the country. You absolutely can't import:
Any flammable, corrosive or explosive item
Ammunitions and fire arms
Any item with alcohol listed as its first ingredient
Wet-cell batteries
Cleaning solutions
Poisons
Fireworks
Pressure containers
Gas
Matches
Tear gas or pepper spray
Gas powered tools
Lighters
Perishables
Used tires
Psychotropic substances, precursors and controlled substances
Natural products and vitamins
Tattoo machines
Airbags
Coal
Used Shoes
Used Underwear

Also, import tax is somewhere between 15-60%.

Hows the UK customs in you guys opinion, I hear its hard to ship stuff from China (do to the replicas) there

KSA customs suxxxx!
Anyone traveling into KSA, esp from India will understand what it means to get into Riyadh. It's terrible. I have traveled and worked in at least 5 countries, and KSA customs is realtime pita... Sorry, people there apart from (all) authorities are great btw.

I hear and read the same. I'm in the US and I hear a lot about the UK customs being pretty strict. The US is no easy task either.
In terms of strictness, it is probably North Korea, but they are strict in everything. In poorer countries goods can take awhile to clear, but for 1st world countries, I would say Norway has the strictest. They even waste time opening up letters, which IMHO is way overkill.
