İ want to rank for keyword in foreign language . For exampke for Russian kw , does having ru tld better than com or net ? Thx

i THINK (i don't know but my 2cents) is that net/com are international. you might have a hard time ranking a .it or .co.uk site in Russia, but maybe .ru is easier to rank than .com? anyone know for sure?

Yes if you're only targetting one particular geographic area then, by all means, go for cctld. Moz actually has a nice article on this: https://moz.com/learn/seo/cctlds

I'm sorry, but I have to tell you at this point - all your questions are easily searched for and answered multiple times a day. Use the search function, you'll find better answers anyway.

It could help like a 0,1%... but don't forget to host also in a Russian server, which is like 10.000% more important.

Google gives SERPs preference for ccTLD domains in the country of search ... so if you want to rank in Russian SERPs you should have a .ru domain to give yourself the best chance of ranking. You can ALSO have the very same site under a .com - Google accepts that there is a requirement for a ccTLD version of a site for specific regional marketing AS WELL AS having your site available globally. I have 3 sites that are ccTLD (.com.au) AND have the very same duplicated sites as .com (no, Google does not see it as duplicate content).

So you can have your cake and eat it too :)

Country level domains would work great for local-SEO - whenever a local IP is used to perform a search for a keyword, local websites would be given the priority to be listed on the SERP, as they are most likely more relevant in the local-search result instead, thus, higher priority to be given to these sites in the local ranking.
