Country domains

I was thinking of registering a really obscure .tld domain name. from small country. This will obviously be bad for SEO but the domain will be a 3 letter domain that I plan on using for a blog about where I live. It is 40$ a year. would you pay for this domain knowing the SEO would be bad? I plan trying free offline marketing by leaving flyers in bars and possibly if it comes down to it graffiti.

if you're concentrating entirely on a targetted traffic,say from ur own country alone then it's best you go with country domains. Because they come out good in SERP than tld's
