My partner in China lost his paypal account, and I'd like to find a way to send him money an easy way.

I could open another bank account and send him the debit card I guess, but I'd rather avoid that.

Moneybookers isn't available in my state, and he's having trouble with alertpay over there. Western union is a possibility, or bank transfer but those cost too much.

I was thinking about those greendot cards, but I don't know if they will work in China at the ATM.

Maybe some other kind of prepaid debit card?

Hello, where in china is your supplier located? I live here so perhaps its something i could help with..Might even be able to help you with some of the products your sourcing if you like..

I pay my partner in China around 2-3K per month via Western Union. Can also do it online via credit card. The only thing is, initially online you can only transfer like $2k per 30 day period.

Eventually they will unblock it to go higher, now I am at 2K per 3 day period which is more than fine for my purposes. Can do it over credit or debit card, making it very convenient.

If you don't mind the fees associated with it, it's pretty good. They don't rip you off too much on the exchange rate either (not as much as PayPal at least). If you're pushing decent dollar volume, then it should work out more affordable than your old solution (PayPal) and your partner gets cash in hand a lot quicker.

Have you looked into ACH? they're similar to wires but slower and cheaper

Thanks. I'll have to find another thing to do as well, at least at first. I send about 300-600 per day, and that will max out WU pretty fast.

I've been checking these cards out since I wrote the OP, like the rushcard visa and it seems that will work. $1500/day limit at the ATM and it can be loaded straight from PP. Looking good. As long as it works out there.

Does anyone see anything wrong with the whole card thing?
