Okay, so I wanted to get into writing, and so far, I am making a little cash actually ($30 or so).

That is fine, but I was wondering if something else would work.

What if I signed up on DP and WF, and wrote an eBook a month, or maybe one every 2 weeks.

Solid, detailed books explaining various techniques that aren't saturated by books already.

Apparently "How to use Scrapebox" would be a good idea for one :D

But anyway, if I did this, would this have potential?

Look at the market and see what people need. What they're asking for, then go for it. Great idea and it is the base for everything.

That could definitely have potential. Maybe beware of writing about too blackhat methods because it seems to me that those communities are not leaning in that direction all that much.. But if you are able to build some sort of good reputation for yourself it's without doubt a good way to go.

If they are reasonably priced, it shouldn't be difficult to sell 20 of each book. People on WF do this all the time, selling 1-2 ebooks per month, and then parleying that into a membership site or list or affiliate links. If it's a how-to guide, include screenshots in the book - easier to understand and ups your pagecount :D

And agree with Strad, keep it light and fluffy. Especially on WF, the banhammer is pretty strong over there. Better to sneak in just a little BH in ebooks sold on DP.

Once you get your sea legs, JV with a list owner to sell more books =)
