    Hi BHW'ers,

I have a news website (2years old), BUT in the last 4 months, i didn't write any articles/news. Also, currently i stopped running my website and i will re-open it again in the next few days. My question is, After re-opening my website and start writing articles/news again, My website won't ranking anymore in google? Or that's will NOT hurt my website?

****My website was in a good rank in google BEFORE i stopped writing articles.

    Regards,
    Caspooor.

Why would it get worse after adding content?

It get's worse when you add content for a prolonged period of time and then just stop abruptly. New content is always a good thing, given that it is unique.

Agree with what people are saying: it can only HELP you to start adding content again. Unless it's some seriously bad, duplicate stuff of course :)

All be fine:) Just do what you did last time - write unique articles, add images, don't forget about meta titles, meta tags... Your site will be on TOP 1:)

Your rankings probably dropped b/c you didn't add content for so long but they will start going up again as you add more. Content is never going to hurt you unless it's duplicate content, which is bad.

As everyone above suggested, adding unique content is always a good idea. Just make sure you won't start adding too much in a very short period of time, cause then it might become little suspicious. Go on a steady расe, create high-quality content, do proper SEO and spread the word on social. I suggest you consider Google+ too, as it will give you some advantage in search results as well.

Don't get your question man, if your going to write quality articles for your website. it will eventually rank, Article submission would only hurt your website if its spammy and comes unnatural to Google.

It won't hurt your site at all. If your site did well before you stopped working then it might have felt a little drop by now but if you start doing everything again then you will regain those lost rankings in time. Just keep making unique content and just make variations in your articles adding different stuff into it to make it more natural.

If you keep posting fresh content, your website can start performing well again. Now whether it would rank like it previously did for your keywords would be difficult to tell. This is because so may things change in the seo world by the day and hence, it is not just about your on page factors.

I have had experience with this before after buying domains that had no content posted on it for months and even years but once you post new content it ranks because it is unique and fresh and google likes new fresh unique content.

Sorry to hi-jack thread. I have 2 questions.

    1. Could I write 10 HQ unique articles a day and submit them each day for 1 month without any consequences or does it look suspicious?
    2. If I did this, how many articles do you need to submit per month to ensure you do not drop ranking? This is if I wanted to begin on another website and focus on that.

Why not? Your site will rank on Google if the site promotion is good.
