Such Blackhat method, so wow.

The method is this. I would make a fake petition based on a popular gaming company. Let's say the people who made Mass Effect. The site would be called something along the lines of masseffect4.com. It would have to be a game that is highly anticipated but not released yet. The kicker would be that a lot of people would come to the website to see it's development/progress thinking they would be going to the official site. People would be jizzing their pants to come see the site. I would take the stance of an angry fan who would like to see the game being released. I would monetize it through ads and maybe some CPA offers.

I would make the petition telling everyone to sign it and say something like,

"For months I have waited to see this game in action and the company has not delivered on its promises. Please sign this to show support to the company and show how many of us fans are angry like me. People never take action with things like this and as a fan I have used my powerful voice to make my opinion heard. Hopefully thousands of fans listen to what I'm trying to say and sign this petition. Please hear me out, if anyone at the company is reading this I would like to say that you have disappointed me every step of the way. I hope this can draw the attention it deserves and wake some of you people up."

I mean what's the worst that could happen. I get a letter and shut it down after a while? But I'll already have made some dough lmao.

I don't think you can get sued for it they might send you a "cease and desist" aka a warning. Unless they are complete butts. After all people have sued for getting hot coffee so you never know.

That's why some Blackhat methods scare me lol. People these days man. I could set up a VPN I guess, I have a good router. Still though, that guilty conscience.

If you use a trademarked name as your domain then you can get it taken away (most likely if it gets popular). Better to create a Mass Effect 4 (or something else) facebook fan page in anticipation of the game. You must state that it's an unofficial fan page, though, because facebook can reclaim it from you if not.

The name of the game is traffic and I am coming for it muhaha. Cool twist though, imagine how many fake FB's like this you could make.

Go on and do it... The most worst that will happen is that you will lose your domain. :)

You're an enabler. Haha jk, I really want too. You never know though, some people might see right through my little gimmick and want to expose it or something. Maybe I just think too hard.

i dont think there will be any issues unless you dont enable whois guard :D

Isn't this trademark infringement? I think they can sue you. The question is will they sue you. If your website doesn't become too big then they probably will not bother. But you will for sure lose your domain at some point.

With that mentality, you will go nowhere. believe me... there are people out there doing 100% illegal activities out there and getting away with it.. What you are doing it not illegal at all except that exact domain name part.. and for that thing. the most and worst thing that can happen is you loosing the domain.. other then that nothing will happen..

i would say go and do it :)

You need to work more on your monetizing part
I dont think you will be sued for this i have many Iphone 4 , 5 , 6 Pages and of other Phones n games never got sued

you could but you won't, go for it and if it works bank on it until you get the C&D

Why don't you take action and let's know how did it go? One thing is for sure; you'll lose your domain when it attracts high traffic.

Yeah why don't I have a warrant put out for my arrest when I don't show up for court either lol. I wrote this here to contribute as well, I thought it was pretty nifty.

The biggest issue will be that you're using an official/trademarked name, who knows what they'll try to do if they figured out what was really going on.

u dont want it to get too popular in case u get caught ..so u could try smaller petitions but for loads of different games
