Sorry for the double post-my browser was slow to load

ouch.... go to scriptlance. Post that you have a site but you want to get it overhalled to look more web 2.0 ish, more wordpressish. They will make it look nice for you for dirt cheap.

The images in the heading and to the right look blurred, obviously where you have edited the size. The images are quite off putting when the text is very good.

Yea I used the blur tool to blend the images to the rest of the header-maybe I should just go straight up.

What was the ouch for????

i agree with this... so many graphic, make your buyer confuse of what you're selling...

Are you guys talking about the background or header? Or should I break them both down?

too much on the background, i think you should keep it a cleaner colour. Also try to straighten out those stretched ingredient pictures on the right....
Imo, it will look less spammy and look more original and legit, try it out!

Ok now remember this is constructive criticism. From a buyers perspective it simply looks pretty unprofessional to me. If I came across your site I probably wouldn't buy anything. The sales pitch doesn't really call to action, ya know?

But seriously, just go with a free template for now. There's no reason you can't start with a free template. A lot of successful online businesses started with free templates. Once you get enough money from the site go to a freelance site an hire a good graphic designer.

But as is, I don't think it would convert very well at all.

I started with a free template and it probably looked worse than it goes now. The theme I use now is free-Im guessing my graphics are what I need to work on.

Ok I looked at your site again, and I think I found your solution.

This is a wordpress theme correct? (or looks like a wp theme...)

Change the theme to one that has a variable width (100%wide).. Your best bet is to go to a site called themesjunction and type in something like health in the search, which will bring up about 97 templates. Any one of those templates would be better then what you have going on now...

i think you should change ur website using Wordpress, buddy. WP is easy to set up, and you can make it as a blog or adding some plugins like Wp Chart to sell ur product.

But if you want to use this site for selling product only, maybe u can use opencart...

Lets compare it to this one. Would you buy from it

This site still has the bad header, and the bad blue boxes with red letters...

if you can list the red text without the blue boxes, and change the header then it would look a bit more presentable....

Boxes are gone and layout is a little different? Much better?

1. Header graphics needs sharpening
2. Horizontal navigation menu should be below header not within.
3. Overuse of the color red; should be for thing you want visitors to notice
4. Overuse of bold text; looks like a spam site
5. Vertical navigationals on the right looks decent

Code:

1. Re-do graphics; think minimal
2. Site layout isn't logical; everything seems jammed together.
3. Get a theme.

................another thing, why is this thread in the Blogging section?

Regardless what we think, maybe thats what you like.
