Could Elon Musk change the internet?

Its another case I think to stick to the good ol .exe! We need more windows phones! :D

The .exe is free to develop with, and free to distribute on your own site, and people are happy to download if you have a good enough product and site.

Microsoft has let their software creation and sales process be free, while google and apple do things their proprietary way.

Its just a shame there isn't the same confidence to download apps outside the apps store for some reason, yet you wouldn't think twice about doing it with most desktop software.

Hopefully if he does disrupt the marketplace, he doesn't do it by being a "third" option, as that will surely fail us.

Did windows phones actually use .exe programs?

I only had 1 or 2 windows phones and it was years ago.

That's a stretch, buddy. The man is in charge of successful businesses.
I hope he makes something of twitter.
This "in charge" man has also had lots of failed businesses, which no one talks about. He is making and will make a smelly, stinky poop out of Twitter.

Could be so, he has already changed the world in so many ways

Ever since he bought twitter he has been making some interesting points some of which have even partially been echoed in here for years by multiple posters.

How the tech giants control and monopolise the internet.

could this be possibly the start of web3 really kicking off?
I think Elon ( I like to call him Lex Luthor) is just another wolf in a sheep's clothing. I bet he would love to be in Big Tech monopoly position because he will have a different narrative. Him buying Twitter has nothing to do with freedom of speech and fighting cancel culture, but dipping his toes in the grande tame of media control. Twitter is a propaganda machine and he might not be able to control access to content and innovative products (Doesn't own an app store) but he can definitely try to control the narrative on Twitter. I have been hearing a lot about suspended accounts after he joined and it has nothing to do with fighting bots, but with enforcing Elon's version of freedom of speech.

Change internet? nope but looking forward what he did with twitter hope new video platform.
start of web3?? hmm it wont be, till crypto is accepted mainstream and regulated first

Elon Musk is a retard. he was not a retard, but now he is.
it's always like this when someone do something unique people say retard when he sucess people say it's genius.
so the line between retard and genius seem in what they achieve.

Truth is none of them can be trusted. As much as we all want a savior from big tech, Elon is not that. He doesn't hate the monopoly, he wants it for himself.

I don't understand why people hate Elon so much. I feel like every one hates change. And this is a great example.

Change ? No, sorry, we do not want to move to Mars. Electric cars ? Stupid idea. Do you know how much the cost of electricity is rising all around the world ? After few years, driving an electric car would be more expensive than driving a "fossil fuel" car. Change ? We do not need change that has poopy value.

Yeah, you would know.
