Corvette vs. Camaro vs. Ford Shelby

My stomach drops every time I see one of the new Camaros. They are so Bad Ass.

Every Camaro I've ever seen has had numerous problems within just a few years and not many miles. Probably one of the reasons why GM went bankrupt, they have a well deserved reputation for building low quality disposable cars. Somehow I doubt that the involvement of government bureaucracy has helped to improve that situation

That said, I've never liked Mustangs either. The interiors on those cars look very cheap. And if you pay $40k+ for a premium Roush/Shelby/Cobra/GT500/whatever_other_alphanumeric_sequence version, you still end up with an expensive kid's toy with a shitty interior, though they are quick. If you're after a road race car, fine, but just realize that the level of build quality is substantially lower than other cars in the same price range.

Of the three mentioned I guess that would leave me with the Corvette, which is a more expensive sports car, not a pony car, and is hard to compare fairly with the other two.

For sure the GT500. What year are you taking about? The 2012 is supposed to have the 5.0 with a Eaton based supercharger. And are you talking regular corvette or z06?

And for crappy mustang interiors, I can testify the new ones are very nice inside. I have friends with the new 5.0 Mustang and Camaro SS. And I actually prefer the Mustang interior better...

You mean Wikipedia? However, why not look at the specs on Corvette's website?

The GT500 is the cheapest 500hp car you can buy. It's also the only one of the three with forced induction so it's very easy to get more power out of it. With a solid rear axle, it's a proper driver's car.
