Here is a idea from a newbie.
Please give me your opinion.

1. Get a domain.
2. Upload a index page.
3. Open a Firefox browser.
4. Install Alexa toolbar, and Reload Every addon to Firefox
5. Install foxyproxy for Firefox, and Tor
6. Open Firefox, activate foxyproxy using Tor.
7. Open 10 tabs with URL to your index page.
8. Right click on one of your tabs, and enable reloading of all tabs every 10 sec.
9. Let your computer work several hours every day, and after wile, you get high Alexa ranking for free.
10. Then you can sell your domain.


P.S. Is this possible to do?

People don't buy sites based on your alexa ranking. They buy it based on your profit. By doing this you're making ZERO money.

For that reason it's a waste of time.

"a WHILE".. is a WHILE.. might as well just create and sell autoblogs, then atleast you're selling something of value.

There's lots of better ways to spend your time, but if you're keen to go down this route create a windows macro and loop it.



My advise (for what it worth) is to learn a basic IM skill that you can sell easily (like link building, article submission, autoblogs creation etc...). 99.9% of IM people are lazy and will happily pay for a service they could learn in a day and do a hundred times better.

Even though Alexa means nothing, unfortunately some people look at it and buy sites based on it. So if this could work (which I doubt it), then it's worth it. And what is all this "waste of resources" bull? What are you guys using, Windows?

If running firefox slows down your computer, it's time to get a new computer.

I don't think this works as well as before since now Alexa's algorithm is not just based on traffic or something.

Thanks guy's.
I have used this metod with my own site with counter, and after a hour i get more than 3500 new views to site. I was not in in Cpanel to see Geo IP of the new views, but skuld be unique if you use Foxyproxy with Tor.
Even if you not intend to sale a site, geting high PR backlinks will be probably easeier.
