Stories help you bond with your readers.

And we aren’t telling enough of it. Not but a long shot.

You see…

We humans aren’t primarily programmed to understand logic. But stories make sense to us.

Stories make us think, influence, inspire and persuade.

And due to their massive impact, copywriters see stories as a superpower.

In an experiment by Journalist Rob Walker, he found how stories can make anything valuable.

Rob hired a team of copywriters for creating emotion sparking stories around abandoned, low-cost items from thrift store.

He put them on eBay and used the stories as description to sell.

Can you guess the results?

*drum rolls*

They sold $128.70 worth of unwanted items for over $3000. An ROI of over 2700%.

When you are storytelling, you are resonating with your reader. You give birth to sympathy and help them relate better.

You can also feed and seal information and ideas in your reader’s brains with much more clarity and strength.

Just like I sneaked in and cemented the story of Rob in your brain some time ago

Hope this fills you some perspective.

Much love. ♥️♥️

Humans have learned and been moved by stories throughout their history. Many nations still take their identity from their founding stories. And most people surely buy on emotion.
So it is a very powerful tool.

Exactly, mate.

There are marketing events that go on for 10-12 hours per day, for 3-7 days straight.

This may sound intimidating to go through, but amazing storytelling makes you enjoy it, and when it ends, I've heard many reporting they wanted more.

Great point. Stories really increase engagement with users.
Totally, mate. I've been embracing them.

I love that experiment. The first rule in brand building:

Tell a story. No one cares that much about your specs - they just want to hear a good story.

Good thread. It's a shame most content marketers completely ignore this aspect, but I guess it makes it easier for those of us that utilize storytelling.

Another great share, keep it up @hasan7707
Thanks, mate.

I'm on it :)

True, the internet is exploding with mediocre content, mate. Nicely written, drama-packed stories can help us stand out and get heard. :)
