Hello,

I did copywriting years ago very successful and would like to do it again.

Before I used google ads to find clients (get them on my website) but my target market was very expensive to run those ads. (3-5$ per website click)
And I dont have the budget yet to do run those ads.

What are other ways to find clients for copywriting? Especially german speaking clients?

You can do Linkedin or cold email outreach in your niche and country.

You can create a small squeeze web page, and offer something for free like "5 Copyright Secrets for your business". Once you get hold on some e-mails. Promote your services to them.

You can promote the squeeze page via FB Ads etc

You can engage in cold outreach. Where are the most likely places online where you can meet your target audience? Frequent these places the most and pitch yourself.

You can use Freelance platforms like Upwork and Fiverr.
Use social media to build your brand online. It takes time but it's worth it.

Cold emailing, it is free but you have to be dedicated and consistent. Find your target audience and pitch to them, also send a follow up email after 3-4 days to warm them up

Good to hear you're getting back into it. Since paid ads are out for now, consider direct outreach. Build a strong portfolio and reach out to businesses directly via their websites or professional networks like Xing for German clients. Look for companies in industries you previously served successfully. Also, check out relevant German business forums where you can offer your services and build credibility. Start with a few pro bono or low-cost projects to rebuild your testimonials if needed. Good luck.
