The copyright low to respect is where the content/material is copyrighted, so Argentinian lows doens't metter. I can only say that use free images is better and no one can claim anything.
I never seen copyright owner ask for money or claim anything, but if you're taking images from famous portals (nulled) you can have a lot of problems, since this sites has an authority.

I grab many images from Google for my sites and videos. If they are on G then they are not exactly private but that doesn't mean someone can't lay claim to ownership. If I get a message claiming ownership of these images I will just remove it and upload a new one.
 
Yes, I wouldnt have any problems removing the images, but the thing would be to have any kind of legal issue. I am still trying to understand how this "content curators" manage to copy all the contets...Having a DMCA policy would help?

Do you tell me that all this pages with total duplicate content pay the owner? I dont mean for example news sites, but sites like viralnova, where everything there is stolen/borrowed
 
You're worrying about this too much IMO, the feds ain't gonna come breaking your door down for a few borrowed pics.

What do you actually anticipate will happen if you use an image? My guess is the worst that could happen is a request to remove it.
 
you must search image under free license ( like creative common ). it lets you use that image, the only thing that you should do is at the end of your article write a name and link of image publisher
 
My website contains screenshots and images that I've created myself for the most part, but for the few images I did discover on Google Images, I used the usage rights setting in the search tools. Usage rights allows you to search for the following images:

  • Not filtered by license
  • Labelled for reuse with modification
  • Labelled for reuse
  • Labelled for noncommerical reuse with modification
  • Labelled for noncommerical reuse
If you're using it for business purposes, you can select "Labelled for reuse", or you can select "Labelled for reuse with modification" if you don't mind modifying the image a bit.

Ah, giving them credit and possibly a link on your website is a good idea! That could probably keep some of the smaller copyright owners at bay, but the larger companies will not humour it.
