Copyright strikes affect channel performance

Just keep making good content and avoid limitations as much as possible. They will remove it after about 3 months. We can only wait patiently because there is no other way.

it depends on how new and competitive your niche is, if you can fight the strike I'd advise that, then start a new channel, on a completely new Ip address. that way if you ever get another strike you know you can beat it, your hard work wouldn't go to waste.

When your channel gets copyright strikes, youtube's bot/algo will consider your channel as low qualit/spam, (reason is copying content) and this in turn is why youtube will stop suggesting your videos.

The fix for this is to rest your channel, or reduce the no of uploads until the copyright strike dissappears and then go ahead with the usual uploads, also try not to copy content as much as possible or add enough transformational value.

Did it ever recover?

The copyright strikes has expired and 24hours after the strikes expires , YouTube started recommending my new videos in upnext and to non subscribers also, they've stopped upnext recommendation and non subscribers impressions during the 3months strikes time. Now everything is back, I'm now getting most of my views from non subscribers and getting suggested views.

You just need to publish new content regularly to keep your audience's attention and he will recover.

Yes, copyright strikes do affect your channel's performance

So how is it looking now? is everything back to normal? and are you still being recommended after a month?

Before getting copyright strike in June, I used to have 20k views on average video, but after getting copyright strike all my new videos are now being suggested to only my subscribers, 90%+ of my views are my subscribers. I'm only getting views through browse features, I'm getting little to nothing from search and suggestions which wasn't like this before. Never get more than 1.3k views since the copyright strikes. This video is meant to have atleast 50k views if it was before. Looks like my channel is now shadow ban. I have 2 copyright strikes, can you guys recommend how I can get out of this or any one experienced the same before?
Copyright strike has very bad effect. It can cause a channel to die.

Yes it's back to normal just that the competition in my niche has increased but there's no problem with the channel currently, it's getting alot of impression and almost 95% of the normal performance now

The only way to get out of this is keep posting content on channel regularly. Slowly it will come out of the ban. This I am telling from personal experience.

It do affect but not for a longer period. Avoid getting a copystrike once again. try making organic content.

Lucky you, That's good to hear. Congratulations, so when you check your "Videos growing your audience" under analytics and audience, are the videos "Low" "Memuim" "High" or "Very High"?

I think after getting a strike, if competition increases, then it becomes very difficult to get back. My channel never recovered after one and a half years, so i've made a new one, and the new one is doing far better.

I wish your channel continues to grow and i hope you never get another strike.

During that 90 days period, did you stop publishing content or reduce publishing frequency?

I think it should have been back to normal after strike removal, if not than better to move on from this channel as your hard work must have been applied on something that gives you confidence as well.

Ouch, that's rough. Have you tried reaching out to YouTube support to see if they can offer any insights on the algorithm changes?

If your account is warned for the first time, it will take about 1-2 months to return to normal. During that time, try not to commit copyright infringement or any other violations so that the situation does not get worse.

in my case, my channel got shadow-banned by Youtube for 2 weeks after the first copyright strike, and when I got the second one (after the first one expired), the shadow ban lasted over a month. If I get a copyright strike and appeal successfully, the shadow ban would be lifted after 14 days since the appeal is forwarded.

Hello, my channel strike expired yesterday and warning is still active. So when does the views start to normalise? Any advice. Pls help thanks
