Hey guys,

I am interested to do a news aggregator website, however my concern is, am I allow to take the same picture of the original website (as long as I indicate where the article and the pictures references source is taken from?)

I'm gravitating for ad space rent, will it be worth my while, ( I understand that traffics plays a factor and it will takes months, I am scare of seo, unless I am misreading this but if I am correct, google doesn;t like aggregator sites ...is that correct?)

Thanks a bunch for everybody help and time :)

Cheers !

You can do that by buying an offshore hosting, so you can avoid copyright infringement. DMCA ignored.

If you want to stay on the legal side, no you can't use pictures like that without permission. Text is usually fine as long as it's not a whole article copy-pasted and as long as you're referencing the original.

For sure this is a major issue. I had a headache of a time dealing with a copyright lawsuit years ago just for using an image AND citing the source. It turns out that someone used a Gettyimage without permission. And I referenced that persons image, while citing it. Both of us got screwed.
