Hey,

So i have been asking this in another thread 1 month ago but i do it again cuz i need more info and explanation of how youtube works.

I know a youtubers who make really good montages and i would love to copy their work just to improve myself a bit and experimenting but thats my business, the problem here is that i want to copy the song and the video game cinematics (so camera work in-game)
So the song is NOT from him but its a mario kart song + its a car game.
So i want to know if this is ''copyright infringement'' as youtube calls it. He is my inspiration and i will put his channel in the description BUT i did not ask him permission to copy his ideas in my video... It will look really similair because some camera shots are almost the same as his and i'd say 35 seconds is very similair (keep in mind i did not STEAL his video and edited in my video. I recreated the video so bassicely coppied it) but im so scared because IF he sees my video he can still report it and i will get a strike on my channel wich is not what im aiming for... I have already asked few people and they say you can only copyright movies and songs, is copying a video 70% shot by shot from a inspired youtuber a crime? Or what if its 50% the same. How will YouTube adentify if its the same. So bassicely i admit yes i am copying his work but i put his channel in my description and saying i got inspired by the guy, does youtube count that as a copyright infringement even tho i dont have permission to copy his work? I really need help... Thanks
