Hey,

so I’m currently posting videos to a new YouTube channel, the videos are highlights of sports matches. The clips I’m using are parts of a video that are behind a paywall. Is this something I’ll have issues with further down the line? I’m not using the whole footage just small clips of the matches

thanks

If the creator of those videos finds out, they may report you.

And is there a way around it to stop them taking the videos down?

cool, is there a way around this issue? A way I can make a highlight with their content without them being able to take down the videos?

No, you cannot do anything. Here's why:
The original creator has made his content accessible behind a paywall, so if he finds it, he will stop you because you're leaking it.
You might have some luck if he is merciful and contacts you to take it down, but don't count on it.

yes and double yes. they may sit for a while. but theres
a high chance the videos will get pulled
Is there no way to use tiny bits of footage for highlights? Seen people do it with UFC stuff

Defenetely you will have some problems, if is soccer you'll get a warning meessage, report because everything they have is pay to view mostly, all depends in the publicity they receive and if they benefit from it that will make the diference of a report or no, unfortunately stayed prepared in case this happens.

Well this its a risky strategy as you may work hard and became succesful and if you get a report then youtube will ban you imediatly
So trust me you dont want that
You can do that but i advise you to not put all your income on this as you will get banned amd you are at 0 income

yep like everyone said above, if they report you all over, not good for the long term
