Can twitter ban my account for copying posts of other accounts (not retweeting)

Twitter can ban your account for any reason. I used IFTTT tool for copying people's tweets and my account got flagged for PVA and my posts started showing less within 1 day. Should just test your method on a throwaway account.

...did you read my post? I specifically just told you that I used IFTTT to copy posts and got flagged and my posts started showing less.
Seems like like I got confused with the "easy 2k followers in two days" post about ifttt .
Thanks for sharing your exprience :)

There are always twists on methods. That's why I also suggest using a second Twitter account for testing. Any time you want to do anything automated on Twitter, you should always have a second account for testing. Most Twitter accounts doing spam like this don't get banned, they just get temporarily limited, so if you spam on them and they block you, you usually get full function back after 1 week of letting it sit or posting normally. But I wouldn't try it on an account I care about.

Even in my experience: I got flagged, but my account has full function back now after few days and I will still test it again using maybe less popular hashtags or something.

if a copied tweet goes viral aka more than 5k likes I have had them deleted before but honestly have got suspended. twitter doesn't seem to really give a shit however if a bunch of people fill copyright claims on the tweet I have seen big parody accounts gets suspended in the past.
