A few months ago I remember seeing Etoro's new community feature that allows you to copy trades of various members that use their platform. I also remember when trading first started it was really easy for people to fudge the stats of their trading. I was taking a look at it last night and it seems to be a lot better than it use to be.

To me this seems like it would be a really easy way to make some cash online. Even if you have like 100$ you can invest 20% of that on a really safe trader and make some money over the long run. There are some traders for example the few that I'm following right now one guy is at +21% for this last month and the other guy is up 7.8% for the last month, but up 50% in 6 months. To me it just seems like if would be an easy way to make money that is pretty straight forward. Of course you could always say there is a risk, and there definitely is. You CAN still lose money. But, you would lose even more money trying to learn Forex yourself than simply copying a person or peoples that have the skills already.

Just curious to see the communities general response. Have you tried using copy trader? What don't you like about it?

Only if you want to lose your money... Trust me, im a trader, do IM instead!

p.s.: no one have skills on eToro

If you put 100 in you would be making pennies a day, could make more with ******, trust me, I am an affiliate for etoro, and the accounts with small money must be making fk all. If I was going to invest a lot of money, there is no way I would trust someone else with it. I used to trade on etoro and still do sometimes, but I use the traders insight tool for scalping.

I've always wanted to learn how to scalp, but every time I try I always end up losing haha. I'm assuming you look at the last hour tab on the traders insight and just check the charts.

Yes if it looks right and 90%+ of traders are going for it, then give it a go. I used to always come out on top at the end of the week. It is more about control of closing trades whether winning or loosing.

Hi everyone,

The best way to know if eToro is for you it to try it out for yourself. You can open a free demo account and copy real top performing traders on our investment network with virtual money. You can even get a $20 gift card to try copy trading with real money.

In general, even after you start trading for real, it's always preferable to test out traders by copying them with virtual money and only allot any real funds to copying them once you're satisfied with the results.

By the way, you can view the eToro OpenBook community and check out our best traders without even registering the OpenBook website.

Happy trading,
Abby, eToro Team
