Copy blog post to forum?

Hi,

is it a good idea to copy one of my blog posts to a forum relevant to my niche or will I get some sort of Google penalty?

If its unique content , wait for sometime , then post an excerpt and put a link back to original content.

I wouldn't. It'd be duplicate content. You should just post on the forum normally and use the signature to promote your blog.

I think you're good with that. as webso said you could add link back to the actual page after the excerpt.Only do this ,if that thread really needs your post excerpt.otherwise you will be considered nothing but a spammer.

If I were you, I'd put some in, like probably the excerpt, and then put a link back to your site. It's good for driving traffic to your website

i think you should first delete the article from the blog and than post it on forum so that there remains only one original article
