Copy and translate other blog post in different language

Hello guys,
let's assume you wanna pick a medium/large niche website that has like 100k visitors a month. This website is targeting tier1 country, so the main traffic is from USA and UK but as it is written in english, the traffic is coming from all the world.

If someone decide to copy each one of the articles and rewrite them to his native language, without using any sort of translator but doing it all manually.

Is there any chance that this person will probably face a legal issue?

And let's assume the crawlers didn't find this type of plagiarism and Google ranks the translated articles very well.
It will be a problem to request the approval for adsense? They will check manually your site if is eligible or not?

Correct me if i'm wrong, but i don't think even copied content has anything to do with Adsense
As far as your content is enough and works for their terms and rules, you should be good to go

I'm asking that because the Google Webmaster guidelines tell that every copied content is penalized and website flagged.
I don't know what is there behind the Adsense approval, but I was asking if the approval will trigger any manual review of the site.
Because, if they found that the site A (for example in Spanish) is a copy of the site B (in english), not only they will deny adsense approval, but maybe flag the website A too.

Just asking if this theory is possible and if anyone as experience about that.

I don't think you will face any problem by that and as far as I know there is no manual checking for a site's eligibility. I will be interested to know how that works out.

once I read that multiple copies of the article on website written in different languages are not treated like duplicate content. Therefore I assume that every translated copy is not considered as plagiarism. In theory, that works with seo and it should work with adsense too

There is a forum post here which was updated today, with a link in it, where Google basically says they are OK with it, as long as it's done manually, and not by some automated machine translating tool.

As far as legal claims go, IN THEORY, it's illegal to steal someone else's work. IN PRACTICE, a lot of us do it.

Its fine I have built thousands of sites like this using WPML machine translate.

There should be no legal issues but to play on a safe side you can rewrite the article first then translate.(Just a suggestion)
