So one of my sites which is fairly successful in its niche happens to do product reviews. Not for monetization, it's just content that people like. We used to be a printed magazine before switching to a blog format. On checking backlinks, I discovered a site was just using other people's reviews. That's all it is. Copied content from both printed magazines and other websites. It's a really unsuccessful site, a DA of 10 on Ahrefs etc and no monetization method at all. They also haven't published any content for a year.

Should I be concerned about this copied content affecting my site negatively? Or should I just enjoy 6 free do-follow back links? As far as I knew, copied content = bad SEO and more established sites using your content could mean you get penalised but we are the more successful site here.

Cheers.

Copied content is bad but I doubt that site will affect you.

You could disavow the links if you are worried.

This used to spell trouble months ago. But now Google is ignoring such links due to negative seo effects of before.

Thank you. So I shouldn't really worry anymore then it seems.
