Idk for that price though. Meta VR can do this for any windows and I think mac computer.
A decent regular workplace laptop costs way more than $2000. I think it is a decent price. And it always costs a bit more to be the first cool dude to have the latest toys.

it looks very cool but im skeptical that it will ever come to market.

The reason is that the current CPUs and GPUs are not able to process the massive amount of data in real time.
Microsoft had to develop a special processor (HPU) for the Hololens that can process terabytes of data in miliseconds. This alone took them 7 years of research and development time.

Google/Alpha, Facebook/Meta und Microsoft are currently burning billions in development and research. This area is very capital-intensive.

I would love to see it on the market, it would force the regular computer companies to develope it further and faster.

I had a Oculus VR headset for a while. Tried the virtual desktop feature. Cool novetly but I rather look at my LCD. Mainly because of how heavy and bulky the headset is.

@CyberCommander I remember seeing videos of HoloLens2 years ago. Thanks for the reminder this stuff is still a few years away.
