Cool Tech in Personal Health

Just give sweet potatoes a chance, why all the negativity??

It's just the most pathetic form of potatoes.
Diabetes apart for a moment : A meal of sweet potatoes, chickpeas and a vitamin B12 supplement provides a human body with ALL the required nutrients. In reality let us say a human being eats only that as a meal 2 or 3 times a day for the rest of his or her life, he or she will have a great balanced diet regime. Though, ofcourse eating the same day in and day out would be boring.
As far as diabetes goes, sweet potatoes is beneficial. And, it softens in just 2 to 3 minutes when cooked in a pressure cooker.
I have no health issues, but I love eating sweet potatoes regularly, due to it's awesome benefits.

It doesn't matter how good and full of nutrients it is. It can't improve T1D because because it's a 0/1 type of thing, either you have it or not - there are no stages.

Well crap. Now I have to go see if the grocery store even has any in. :D The dutch may love potatoes, but there isn't a variety. You have your friet potato, boiling potato and mashing (i.e. stamppot) potato.
It wasn't that easy to find that stupid cinnamon thingy either..

2 years ago I bought this celery juice book.

Total nonsense, not sure how I didn't research who wrote it...

I got the juicer and all... one of the most disgusting things ever I think.

The author has a mental illness, talking with ghosts (not in the book, he has some history elsewhere) and what not and I paid for his snake oil LOL

Walking for at least 30 minutes a day is a fantastic habit! It's a simple yet powerful way to boost cardiovascular health, improve mood, strengthen muscles, and even enhance creativity. Plus, it's a great opportunity to clear your mind and enjoy your surroundings. Whether it’s a brisk walk or a leisurely stroll, consistent movement can work wonders for the body and mind. Are you trying to incorporate this into your daily routine?

My wife uses a simple step counter app and always takes her phone with her when she goes for a walk. Is it life-changing? I’m not sure, but it definitely makes her happy when she hits her weekly goals. )

I am not diabetic, but I do know a person who is diabetic and has immensely benefited by eating a lot of sweet potatoes. Do your research about it and wish you better health.
Sorry @Manuelmktg that you got the ire of @PetraAnn and @roydan. But treating T1DM is not as simple as eating sweet potatoes.

There's basically 2 main types of DM type 1 and 2 (other types exist like gestational, secondary etc). Insulin regulates the blood sugar, and is affected in DM.

In computer analogy, T1DM (like what's being discussed here on this thread) is like a destroyed CPU coz the body's immune system attacks the insulin producing beta cells, therefore there's a lack of insulin production. T2DM is like a CPU that's operating with issues, due to insulin resistance from the Egregious Eleven.

So while diet and exercise may help in the early stages of T2DM, (in fact there have been documented cases of T2DM remission) , for now, those with T1DM depend on "cool tech" for insulin and sugar regulation. That is, until AI and research find a way to recover the function of the compromised beta cells, who knows, maybe someday .

It's amazing @PetraAnn didn't get back at you to "do your research about it" (your own words)

Wait, what? ✌️

Misinformation is not nice, that's all.

But, ok, I'll learn to be chillin' like a villain here in the lounge. =)
I can't tell who of us didn't get the joke, but for clarification I didn't really report your post lol
