Cookies?

I'm thinking about setting up a new BH campign, but I need to know, when I send a user to a affilate product, it stores a cookie to say I sent them there, if somebody else sends them there and they buy the product, do I get the money, or do they? Cause I sent them to the page first, but they bought it another day?

Need some help :S Sorry if that doesn't make sence.

In all the cases that I am aware of, if they are coming from the same affilliate program your competitor's cookie literally overwrites yours and they get the commission. I am not sure what happens if the site supports multiple programs.

In the majority of cases it is the last cookie that is set, but it depends on the affiliate program.
