start following them first, activate notifications for their reels, stories and other post, for a week at least, be the first one commenting or liking them so they start paying attention to you as top fan, then when you send them de DM talk about why you want a collab with them using the real information you have on them. That'll boost your chances

The outreach has to have a Verification on it; or, it would be good to have certain posts on your profile that show you do these types of collabs. Many others have their page setup like that so the person has an idea that the account does collabs.

In the content creator sphere, Id say so, yeah. The strength of your character can usually carry you through the whole process, hah. It's certainly worked for some but as with most things, ymmv.

great I learned what’s a barter deal from this! Anyway we need more info, what do you offer, your location, many of the creators don’t know how to monetize whatsoever so you have a fighting chance. You will need a blue checkmark or large following to stand out in notifications, be careful sending to much DMs so you don’t end up in request spam… target follower in your niche that don’t promote bunch of stuff.

Blue tick cost is no longer that much valuable. Any spammer can also get it because it is too cheap now.
