Converting views and likes to followers?

Hello everyone,

I recently started my twitter page. On some big name accounts (like 10M+) I managed to be top comment with over 50k views and over 1k likes. Unfortunately I only get like 2-3 followers. Am I doing something wrong or it is common to only get 2-3 followers? I have profile with amazing profile picture and banner, very active and a niche category. I don't think that is the problem tho. It is either I am doing something wrong or it is normal to get such a low number of followers. Thank you everyone!

If your niche is very specific, there might be a smaller pool of potential followers, or your target audience might not be active on the account you are following.

Thank you for your input. It is not that very specific. Pool of potential followers is big enough. Target audience on the account I am following is very active. On my comment I even went and manually checked accounts that liked my comments and they are real accounts, not bots. I am really surprised if the conversion rate is this low in general or am I doing something wrong. From 50k views and 1k likes to only 2-3 followers. I post regularly, high quality content, high quality profile and banner picture and everything.

clicks like followers is dependent on the
popularity of your niche

your target audience might not be active on the account you are following.
