Converting MS Word files to text?

Hi,

I am trying to work out how I can covert batches of .doc files to .txt format so that I can import to my WP site.

Does anyone know of a program (cheap or free) that can do this?

It is so quick by hand cnp > notepad > cnp > wp done

Thanks .... but i have almost 1,000 files so its not an option

all u have to go in msword click save as and then pick .txt to save it as .txt make sure its not in protected format then it wont let you. if in protected format click file once you have the word document open then click trust center then click trust center settings then click file block options and uncheck everything even save. then you'll be able to save to .txt

Not too long ago, I used this to batch convert a small amount of files:

Look up nchsoftware's document coverter.

They have a free trial that you can immediately use and describes what you're looking for.

(Sorry, I am a new member, I can't give you the link. You'll have to google it.)
