Converting a bot account into a manual one?

What would happen if I bought an ig account from the marketplace here (obviously an old bot account) and gave the account a complete overhaul; new profile pic, bio, email, username, profile name.

Eventually I would also like to delete the 50 or so existing posts and replace them with my own content.

My guess is I would lose a big chunk of followers and engagement will be really low at least to start off with, but will I risk getting banned or anything else?

Changing your account will not get you banned, but your post reach will be dependent on your engagement. If you overhaul your account make sure the content will appeal to your followers, or your account will be near worthless.

The account is within a certain niche and I intend on posting within that niche. We'll see how this goes, and (if I remember) I'll update this post with the results.

As mentioned above - as long and your new content / brand appeals to the existing following then this gives you the best chance to retain your engagement.

Taking a previously botted account and turning it into a manual 'legitimate' one is certainly doable though and (depending on the account quality) it can give you a solid platform to begin growing on.

I've personally taken accounts that have been botted hard in the past and migrated them to an automation free setup once they reached a certain number of followers. These accounts are now growing organically very nicely indeed just posting high quality content.

So instagram just hid my account from public and requested me to verify with a phone number. I did that and got a message that it will be reviewed within 24hours. Looks like it's going to get blocked...
